Hippolyte Pérès: From THE SONAR INSTITUTE to France Musique (Radio France)—A Rising Star in the Arts

THE SONAR INSTITUTE is thrilled to announce that Hippolyte Pérès, our former Director of Digital Communication and a key member of our executive team, has ascended to new heights as one of the youngest producers at France Musique, a division of the prestigious Radio France. In just a short time, Hippolyte has become a rising star with his groundbreaking weekly show, “Au Cœur du Ballet”, airing every Friday at noon.

Hippolyte’s journey began with us at THE SONAR INSTITUTE, where his creativity, leadership, and vision helped shape our digital landscape and communications strategy. His work here showcased his talent for bringing people together through arts and culture—a passion that has now become the foundation of his burgeoning career in radio.

After training at the renowned École de Danse de l’Opéra de Paris, Pérès’ early career path in ballet was redirected by an injury, but this setback only fueled his drive to share the beauty of dance with others. His show at France Musique is a testament to that passion. “Au Cœur du Ballet” delves deep into the rich history of classical and contemporary ballet, with topics ranging from legendary choreographers to more thought-provoking angles such as “Is dance only a woman’s story?” and “The fusion of dance and poetry.” Through his unique storytelling style, Hippolyte brings the art of ballet to life for a new generation of listeners.

Pérès’ success at France Musique is no surprise to those of us who had the pleasure of working with him. His strategic leadership and innovation during his time at THE SONAR INSTITUTE laid the groundwork for the cutting-edge programs he now produces. “Hippolyte always had a way of blending creativity with precision,” said Agathe Flambard, from the Administrative Board of THE SONAR INSTITUTE. “Seeing him thrive at France Musique is a proud moment for all of us.”

Hippolyte’s connection to THE SONAR INSTITUTE was not just a chapter in his career; it was where his communication and media expertise took root. His ability to convey complex cultural narratives and bring them to life for diverse audiences mirrors the very mission of our organization. His time here was marked by the same passion for storytelling that now animates his work at France Musique, where he introduces listeners to the world of ballet through the music and stories that define it.

In addition to his work in radio, Pérès remains dedicated to dance education and outreach. His involvement with What Dance Can Do, an association that brings dance to underserved communities, is a reflection of his commitment to making the arts more accessible to all.

At THE SONAR INSTITUTE, we take great pride in the success of our former colleagues, especially when their work continues to align with our core values of cultural innovation and global impact. Hippolyte Pérès’ journey from our institute to the heart of the French arts scene at France Musique is a powerful reminder of the lasting influence that creativity, education, and communication can have when nurtured together.

We look forward to seeing how his career evolves and are confident that Hippolyte will continue to inspire, both on the airwaves and beyond.
