In a significant development for THE SONAR, Agathe Flambard has been elected as the President of the organization as of August 31, 2020. Agathe, a distinguished member of the University Philosophical Society “The Phil” in Dublin, brings a wealth of experience and academic excellence to her new role.
Flambard’s academic journey is notable, having earned a Double Bachelor’s degree in Arts from Université Paris-Sorbonne, specializing in English and Spanish, followed by a Master of Arts in English Language, Literature, and History from the same prestigious institution. Her academic prowess is further exemplified by her research project, “Experience and Existentialism in The Great Gatsby,” completed during her Master’s program. Additionally, she has attended Trinity College Dublin as part of an Erasmus exchange, contributing to her rich background in English language and literature.
Her professional experience includes serving as a French Teacher Assistant at Drimnagh Castle Secondary School in Dublin, Ireland, where she has demonstrated her commitment to education and cross-cultural communication.
Agathe Flambard, originally from Normandie and a long-time Paris resident, is fluent in multiple languages, including French (native), English (full professional proficiency), Spanish (professional working proficiency), and Chinese (elementary proficiency).
