Charlotte Brehm brings an impressive background in interdisciplinary studies and social innovation to her role. She has worked extensively in the fields of sustainability, project management, and entrepreneurship, embodying THE SONAR INSTITUTE’s mission of creating impactful global change through collective efforts.

A Background in Social Impact and Innovation

Charlotte’s academic and professional journey reflects her passion for solving complex challenges. As a project student at EOS GmbH, she delved into the potential of additive manufacturing (industrial 3D printing) to revolutionize industries, supervised by the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Department of the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Her ability to navigate cutting-edge technological solutions, coupled with a strong academic performance (final grade 1.3), underscores her analytical and problem-solving expertise.

She also contributed to social entrepreneurship projects with Enactus München, where she focused on knowledge management and impact measurement. Notably, she played a key role in the “Glassic” initiative, which tackled plastic pollution by promoting reusable glass bottles in Thailand and beyond. This project exemplifies Charlotte’s dedication to addressing pressing global issues through innovative, scalable solutions.

Leadership in Advocacy and Outreach

In addition to her technical and entrepreneurial skills, Charlotte has demonstrated a flair for community building and advocacy. Her tenure with START Munich allowed her to support budding entrepreneurs and foster a dynamic startup ecosystem in the region. Earlier, as a summer camp counselor in Connecticut, USA, she honed her interpersonal skills, contributing to her well-rounded approach to leadership and teamwork.

Her academic achievements, including a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and involvement in projects addressing political legitimacy and sustainability, further attest to her intellectual rigor and commitment to ethical leadership. Charlotte also attended Trinity College Dublin, where she pursued studies in Engineering with Management, further solidifying her interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving.
